I'm Pearl, the founder and project manager of Taskcube, and someone who’s journeyed from humble beginnings to global impact.

My story began in the Philippines, where I worked alongside my sisters building a business from the ground up. But life has its challenges, and in 2013, Typhoon Haiyan swept through our region and killed more than 10,000 people, taking everything in its path. With only one bag and a resolve to rebuild, I moved to Australia with my 4-month-old son, determined to rebuild again. From there, I built my own virtual assistance business in a small room with my bub, using only a 2nd hand iPhone donated to me, and grew successfully ( I was able to purchase a laptop, and office and hire people),  followed by successful ventures in the restaurant industry, which continue to thrive today.

Drawing from nearly two decades of experience managing business process outsourcing for companies of all sizes, including giants like Expedia, Vonage, Jeep, and National Geographic, I learned first-hand what companies truly need. Working with these clients taught me the value of precision, scalability, and rapid execution.

When the AI revolution took off, I saw an opportunity to bring these qualities to the next level. My vision was clear: use AI to enhance the Virtual Assistance industry, making it more efficient, accurate, and adaptable for businesses of all sizes. I knew that, combined with the exceptional work ethic and exceptional skills of our talented University graduate Philippine workforce, this approach could meet the needs of companies better than ever.

 

The Philippines has one of the highest literacy rates reaching 99.27% due to a combination of the education system, language proficiency, and a culture of education. The country is the 3rd largest English-speaking nation in the world. The country as well has one of the best work ethics because of the religious influence and tight family culture.

***Pearl's mission is to help as many impoverished kids in the Philippines. To provide them with food on the table, education and a better well-being. (As seen in the photo, these are some of my kids. To see them happy with a full tummy is the best fulfillment in the world.)
